Meet Liam

Liam grew up racing dinghies in Perth, Western Australia, introduced to the sport by his father from a young age. He excelled in various classes including Mirrors, 420s, Sabres, and Flying 15s, advancing to compete in ocean racing, match racing events, and even world championships. Alongside his competitive career, he served as the state coach for the Mirror Association and as a club coach at the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club.

After initially pursuing a career in surveying and engineering within Western Australia’s mining sector, Liam shifted gears in 2022. He transitioned to maritime roles, working as a skipper and instructor in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.

Liam seizes every chance to hike, scuba dive and kite surf, or even get back on the slopes to go skiing as he generally just loves being active! His love for discovering new places and experiences enriches his approach, making him a knowledgeable and engaging skipper who enjoys sharing his passion for sailing and being active with others.

Meet Kelsey

Growing up in California, Kelsey always felt drawn to the ocean, adventure, and bringing people together over great food. After a decade in the corporate world, she followed her passion for hospitality and hasn’t looked back! Now, as a yacht chef in the Caribbean, she gets to combine everything she loves—cooking, travel, and creating unforgettable experiences that help guests relax, connect, and unwind.

Kelsey trained at Ashburton Chefs Academy in the UK, refining her skills in contemporary cuisine, and has since cooked aboard luxury charters in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Her style is elevated yet approachable, focusing on vibrant, well-balanced flavors that showcase the best of international and island-inspired cuisine. Whether it’s a beautifully plated dinner, a laid-back beach barbecue, or a colorful brunch spread, Kelsey takes pride in curating meals that feel special yet effortless.

Beyond the galley, Kelsey embraces a laid-back yet adventurous lifestyle—starting the day with morning meditation, savoring a coffee with a view, and uncovering hidden gems in every destination. She brings a warm, easygoing energy to life on board, allowing guests to feel right at home.

She’s excited to create a dining experience that’s just as incredible as the destinations you’ll explore!

Guest Reviews

"With this being our first every sailing experience, we weren’t sure what to expect but we now have a new standard for travel thanks to the dynamic duo - Liam and Kelsey! Our time in the BVIs could not have gone any smoother without Liam’s expertise and knowledge of the region. We hiked, snorkeled with turtles, sting rays, and star fish, visited local beach bars, and relaxed in the Caribbean sun. We’re forever grateful and impressed by his drone footage and ability to maneuver through the crowds for the best anchor spot. Chef Kelsey hti the ball out of the par with each and every meal that she made. She catered to each of our palates with ease. Olive oil and citrus cake, Mediterranean lamb and chicken, shakshuka, mahi tacos and peanut butter pie were among our favorites. The combination of flavors and textures showed her true skill and passion for crafting incredible meals. Our only hope is that they visit us in Nevada to reciprocate their genuine hospitality while we were on Deborah Anne."

"Wow! What an AMAZING week!! Our first time to the BVI. Everything exceeded our expectations! This is the definition of paradise. Captain Liam took us to all the places we wanted to go and we loved all of his recommendations. The Deborah Anne was a perfect boat for the six of us. Liam is clearly a knowledgeable and experienced captain. And Chef Tony absolutely nailed all of the food! I don’t know what either of them could have done to make our trip more memorable! Thank you Liam and Tony for making our trip to the BVI so special!!"

"To say you provided a once-in-a-lifetime experience is an understatement!! Your hospitality, competence and warmth is truly remarkable!! This vacation experience was surreal and will live in our memories forever. So much beauty, laughter, and food . . . oh my goodness, the food! We will take this moment in time and treasure it always! Wow! First . . . you both are amazing! I read reviews, was all onboard, then . . . we had our trip. There reviews didn’t do justice! This trip was planned as a family/sibling trip . . . add in a few birthday celebrations, its the best trip ever. It was the best family time together. Liams conversation, history of the area, keeping us safe and making sure all was good was 5 stars. Keagan’s cooking - 5 stars - amazing! The food, the presentation - to the birthday celebration she put together. Thank you both - you are very good people that made our trip so special and memorable. Keep doing you and your love for this - you make it special. Cheers to you. When you have a trip like this and have the opportunity to experience so many new things it’s hard to look back and capture them all. My sister grabbed many. A highlight was the Liam private knot training session, very useful and fun!! We also had the opportunity to to throw up the sails watching Liam in his element was great. Keagan’s meals were perfect and tasted wonderful, she has a passion for food and its appreciated. To the reader of this . . . I may never meet you but hope that you had a fantastic journey as I did with this crew."

"Thank you for an amazing week on the Deborah Anne! You probably didn’t know what you were getting into when you created the Tropical Trouble Bingo, but this crew loved the extra and creative competition. We started the trip as almost strangers and we leave now as a happy little sailboat family. So many laughs and fun this week. We will be sad to say goodbye, but we look forward to another adventure soon. Much love from your crazy Colorado crew!"

"Our Deborah Anne experience was filled with laughter, activity and happiness. The crew were very easy to start conversation with and made the experience worth every penny. Liam’s knowledge about every island and each place we went to was very interesting. His knowledge in sailing was also amazing from having started very early. Some favorite meals from the week were the steak, lobster roll, duck and lamb. We will never forget this vacation or the memories we made on it."

"Thank you for all you have done to make our week beyond amazing! You both made us all feel right at home on the beautiful Deborah Anne. Liam – you have a love for sailing and teaching that has rubbed off on us. Thank you for sailing us safely there! Keags – Our tummies were always full of your delicious food. You are very talented and we will miss your yummy meals. Writing this the morning after celebrating Halloween at Foxy’s – so a bit foggy headed LOL. Cheers to you both – wishing you a wonderful season and we will hopefully see you again soon!"

"The beautiful Deborah Anne and the most amazing crew of Jords and Keags!! It doesn't get much better! Thank you Jordache for taking great care of us, for the best pain killers in the BVI, and especially for checking off one of my bucket list items - swimming with the turtles! Thank you Keagan for your generosity, your passion in each and every dish you served us! Best food in the BVI!! Thank you for helping me "chase turtles". We will be back!! Thank you for the best memories!"

"The Deborah Anne was everything we hoped for on our dream vacation. The cabins were comfortable and clean. Pay attention when they tell you about the air conditioning controls! The crew were amazing. Keagan's cooking was delicious for every meal. We loved the breakfast spreads, the lunch tacos, the BBQ with amazing potato salad. I think our favorite was the salmon poke bowls. We celebrated some birthdays and Keagan made it special with rum coconut cupcakes! Jordache was a great captain. We didn't have the best sailing weather, but he found us some wonderful places to pass the time. We enjoyed the Bitter End, Leverick's Bay and the Michael Bean show! That was surprisingly very fun! We very much enjoyed that Keagan joined us for the night. When the weather brightened up he found us the bay with all the turtles where we opted to spend the day on the floating mat and snorkeling! We had such a wonderful time that I'm sure there will be a second trip to the BVI!"
